Top 10 Places on Earth That Look Completely Alien

So guys, we have been talking about aliens lately, right? Some of you have varying opinions. Some say aliens exist, some say they don't, and some of you are still undecided. Well, people, I’ll tell you. Aliens are here on Earth. Not the actual alien, by the way. These aliens I'm talking about are somewhat different. “How different?” *silence* Have you heard about places that look completely alien? *silence* “Do you mind sharing those alien places you’re saying?” I will never mind, buddy. Let me take you to two of those places and we'll see.

One of the world’s alien like places is the Atacama Desert. It is a plateau located in South America covering a 1,000-kilometre (600 mi) strip of land on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes Mountains. It is considered as the driest non-polar in the world. Why? This desert has never met our friend rain. This place is compared to Mars. The soil of Atacama and Mars are believed to be the same. This desert is often used as a location in filming Mars scenes. *silence* “So now I know where the Mars scene in ‘Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets’ is filmed.”

Another alien-like place is the McMurdo Dry Valleys located within Victoria Land west of McMurdo Sound in Antarctica. This place is one of the world’s most extreme deserts. These valleys have a very low humidity. According to Wikipedia, the unique conditions in the Dry Valleys are caused, in part, by katabatic winds; these occur when cold, dense air is pulled downhill by the force of gravity. And you know what’s more? Scientists believe that the Dry Valleys are perhaps the closest of any terrestrial environment to the planet Mars, and thus “an important source of insights into possible extraterrestrial life.”

This time, think about this alien-like places and the possible connection with the extraterrestrial life. I’ll give you the rest of the time to find out the rest of the places on Earth that look completely alien. Just click on the link below and prepare to be amazed. *winks*
